The 2025 General Legislative Session Has Begun!

Hello District 6!

This week was our first week back in the Utah State House. I am excited to continue to work with my fellow lawmakers to pass meaningful legislation to improve the lives of Utahns across the state, especially for our Box Elder and Weber communities.

Please complete this survey to share your thoughts on the issues impacting our communities with me. Your feedback helps inform the decisions I make on behalf of our district!

For the 2025 General Legislative Session, I will be serving on three committees and one task force:

  • Criminal Justice Appropriations Subcommittee, Chair
  • House Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Committee
  • House Political Subdivisions Committee
  • School Security Task Force

These roles will allow me to address some of the state's most important issues, such as increasing government transparency, creating laws to protect our state's most vulnerable populations, and ensuring responsible governance.

Throughout the session, I will send out newsletters with updates on bills I am running and important votes happening on the Hill. You can also follow me on social media to stay updated on events happening in our area and at the Capitol. As always, you can reach out to me with questions, concerns, or ideas on my Legislative Page below.

Thank you for trusting me to represent you again over the next two years. I look forward to serving you again!

Thank you,

Matthew Gwynn
Representative, House District 6

During the 2024 General Legislative Session, I successfully sponsored and passed numerous bills that have benefited our Weber and Box Elder County communities. There is still work to be done, and I am eager to continue our progress together.
